Pier M33 On The Cheboygan is proud to have Chef Eric Wheeler for our 5th year! With 25 years of restaurant experience, Chef Eric returned to Pier M33 in 2019 from the Country Club of Boyne where he spent four years as Sous Chef under Chef Dean Grill. Prior to that he spent 3+ years at Pier M33 working under Chef Richard Travis; Eric also previously ran his own food business and worked at a number of other local restaurants. He has been creating delectable dishes for the past 4 years at Pier M33 and is ready to offer you his new creations in 2024!
Pier M33 was home to Chef Rich Travis from our 2011 opening through 2019. His experience includes culinary training in France and several Michigan restaurants. In June 2019, Chef Rich passed the reins to Chef Paul Leonardi, with whom Rich worked side-by-side for 3 years helping guide Paul into the experienced chef he is today. His previous local experience included Mulligan's and Hack-ma-tack. He welcomed friend and fellow chef, Eric Wheeler back to Pier M33 in Fall 2019 as Paul returned to Mulligan's.
